A letter from a gentleman at Constantinople to his friend in
London, &c. octavo, pp. 25.
This pamphlet contains an account of the famous prophecy of
Achmet Almagi, which hath greatly alarmed the Turks lately,
with remarks on the prophecy. . .
THE PROPHECY OF ACHMET ALMAGI OF CURDISTAN. Written during
the Fast of Ramadan.
Attend ye mussulmen, your glories date,
While I unseal the mystic leaves of fate;
Tremble! oh tremble! at the harsh decree,
Which dooms your greatness to obscurity.
